A first edition, first printing published by Batsford in 1945. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is finely illustrated by Beaton but suffers from rubbing at the corners and a chip to the head of the spine. It has not been price clipped. This copy has a neat gift inscription and is, overall, a very good copy, uncommon in this complete condition.
