C.S. Lewis – The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader – First Edition 1952
£3,000.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Bles in London, 1952. This is a very good copy – small name and address to the head of the front endpaper. The dust wrapper, illustrated by Pauline Baynes, has benefitted from some light restorative repair to the spine tips and has not been price clipped, showing the original 10s 6d net. The boards are free from notable chips and marks – with some sunning to the spine and the text blocks show some spotting and to the endpapers. Overall, this is a very good copy of a scarce book.
This, the third published, but volume five of Lewis’s ‘Chronicles of Narnia’, was illustrated profusely by Pauline Baynes and has been filmed successfully.
(We don't keep all of our stock in the shop, so send us an email if you're planning a trip to see a particular author or book.)
