A first edition, first printing published by Bles in 1950. A very good book with a neat gift inscription to the head of the front free endpaper. Some shadowing to the edges of the boards and the spine as is common with this title. In a dust wrapper which has benefitted from some restorative repair to the bottom of the front panel and spine tips and a little to the edges. Presents very well indeed.
The first of the Narnia novels to be produced, but the second in the sequence. Includes wardrobes, Turkish Delight and beavers.
