A first edition, first printing published by Deutsch in 1977. A near fine copy, if not better, with only slight bumping to the head and base of the spine. Clean internally. In a like, price clipped wrapper, with slight chipping to the edges and one small neat tape repair to the head of the spine.
Midnight Express tells the true story of Hayes’s experience as a young American who was sent to a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle hashish out of Turkey. The book was adapted for Oliver Stone’s 1978 film version which attracted controversy due to its negative portrayal of Turkish people.
