A detailed and well-illustrated account of his life and work including three illustrations of his set designs for William Walton’s ‘The Quest’ and references to his work on the Shell Guides. A near fine, tight, clean copy in slightly spine-faded, not price-clipped, nicked and rubbed dustwrapper which is in very good condition at least. SIGNED BY JOHN PIPER IN INK TO THE TITLE PAGE with the date 17 iii 79.
