First edition, first printing. Published by Collins in London, 1944. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper has some slight wear to the corners and some mild handling marks. It has been price clipped. The front flyleaf has one small neat previous owners inscription present. The boards are free from notable chips and marks but are slightly soiled; there is some ghosting to the front board. Overall, this is a very good copy.
Lady Tressilian invites her ward for his annual visit at Gull’s Point. He insists on bringing both his former wife and his present wife, though Lady Tressilian finds this awkward. Her old friend Treves dies, then she is murdered as well; Superintendent Battle and his nephew are called in. The book is the last to feature Superintendent Battle.
