Agatha Christie – Third Girl – First UK Edition 1966
£175.00
A first edition, first printing of Third Girl by Agatha Christie, published by Collins in London, 1966. This is a near fine copy, free from internal inscriptions, with slight bumping to spine tips and corners, some browning to the upper edge and toning to the text block, with some foxing to the top edge. In a near fine wrapper with chipping to spine tips and knuckles of front and rear flap folds, slight fading to the spine. Wrapper design by Kenneth Farnhill.
Featuring Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and the recurring character Ariadne Oliver. The novel is notable for being the first in many years in which Poirot is present from beginning to end. It is uncommon in that the investigation includes discovering the first crime, which happens comparatively late in the novel.
