Agatha Christie – They Do It With Mirrors – First UK Edition 1952 – A fine copy
£450.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Collins in London, 1952. A fine book with one neat gift inscription to the front endpaper. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped or priced and is in fine condition. A little wear to the extremities and a few spots to the rear panel. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and white. Exceptionally clean within the book. Overall, this is a fine copy in superb condition.
One review at the time of publication praised the essence of the plot but felt the latter half of the novel moved too slowly.[4] A later review considered that this novel showed “Definite signs of decline”[5] and felt the author was not entirely comfortable with the setting she described in the novel.
