A first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1941. A very good/near fine book with a neat name and date to the front endpaper. Some light rubbing to the corners and light spotting to the top edge. The boards are unusually rich and full of colour – usually faded and worn. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with a little rubbing to the corners and extremities and a neat closed tear to the bottom of the front panel. Lightly browned to the spine, but none of the usual loss and chipping as is generally found with this title.
A rare Poirot adventure and now scarce in war-time wrapper.
