Agatha Christie – Cat Among The Pigeons – First UK Edition 1959
£185.00
A first edition, first printing of ‘Cat Among The Pigeons’ published by Collins in 1959. A very good book with one gift inscription to the front endpaper with some spotting to the page edges. In very good clipped wrapper with some light wear and loss to the corners and to the head of the spine and a little small loss here and there.
It features Christie’s Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, who makes a very late appearance in the final third of the novel. The emphasis on espionage in the early part of the story relates it to Christie’s international adventures (such as They Came to Baghdad) and to the Tommy and Tuppence stories.
