C.J. Sansom – Dissolution – First UK Edition 2003 – with rare wrap-around band
£250.00
A first edition, first printing of Dissolution by C.J. Sansom, published by Macmillan in 2003. A very good book, internals free from inscriptions, with slight pushing to head of the spine, bumping to the lower edge of the front panel near the spine and to the lower edge of the rear panel, text blocks bright and crisp, the near fine unclipped wrapper complete with rare wrap-around band.
Dissolution by C.J. Sansom is a historical mystery set in 1537 during the English Reformation. It follows hunchbacked lawyer-detective Matthew Shardlake, sent by Thomas Cromwell to investigate the murder of a royal commissioner at a monastery. As Shardlake uncovers layers of deceit and danger, the novel vividly portrays the religious and political turmoil of the era. Sansom’s rich historical detail and complex characters create a gripping and atmospheric tale of intrigue and suspense.
