£2,000.00

First edition, first printing. Published by The Crime Club [Collins], London, in 1930. This is a near fine copy, but lacking the dust wrapper. The original orange clothbound boards are tightly bound at the spine and sharp at the corners. There are very faint handling marks to the cloth. The black title is bold on both the front panel and the spine. The internals are clean and with only very slight spots of browning. The text blocks are bright and white, again with few spots of foxing. Three small initials to the front endpaper.

The first full length-novel to feature the illustrious Miss Marple, having only appeared in short stories published in various magazines in 1927.
