A first edition, first printing published by Herbert Jenkins in 1940. Original orange cloth, 284 printed pages complete with 4 pages of adverts at rear. Quite faded to the spine, browned end papers, some foxing to the fore edge, otherwise tidy with a tight binding and no inscriptions. The dust jacket is chipped to the spine ends and slightly chipped to the corners, the red to the spine has faded as often happens. Rare.
