First edition, first printing. Published by Heinemann in London, 1955. This is a good to very good copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated by Biro. It has some slight wear at the corners and rubbing at the spine tips. It is not price clipped. The text blocks are mostly clean throughout, but with some slight spotting to the top edge. The boards show a stain to the foot of the spine and a larger one to the rear panel. This is a very good copy. SIGNED by Shute, using his full name as ‘Nevil Shute Norway’. A rare copy signed by the Author
